Both times God responded, “Have you considered my servant Job, that there is none like him on the earth, a blameless and upright man, one who fears God and shuns evil?” The second time He adds, “Although you (incited, allured, instigated) Me against him to destroy him without cause”. The next verse (1 Peter 5:9) tells us to “Resist him, steadfast in the faith, knowing that the same sufferings are experienced by your brotherhood in the world.”
Satan is still seeking someone to devour.
Let us remember that we too are children of God. “Therefore having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we also have access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and rejoice in the hope of the glory of God. And not only that but we also glory in tribulation, knowing that tribulation produces perseverance; and perseverance, character; and character, hope. Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us. (Romans 5:1-5)” So, let us remember that no matter what Satan brings our way, we need to stand firm in Faith and Hope and Love.
