He has blinded their eyes and hardened their hearts, Lest they should see withtheireyes, Lest they should understand withtheirhearts and turn, So that I should heal them.”[g]
41 These things Isaiah said when[h] he saw His glory and spoke of Him.
42 Nevertheless even among the rulers many believed in Him, but because of the Pharisees they did not confess Him, lest they should be put out of the synagogue; 43 for they loved the praise of men more than the praise of God.
I was lead to read all of John 6 and 12. These are the verses that stood out this time.
God is still using His people to gather. What started off as a few men has grown to many disciples of Christ. But there are still many who are blind to the truth and have hard hearts. When reading John 12:40-41, I saw a prayer for the lost:
Unblind the eyes of the lost and soften their hearts; so that they may see Your truth with their eyes and understand it in their hearts. Let their hearts become fertile ground and let them see that Jesus is the only way. May they boldly confess you as their Lord and Savior and get into Your Word. Lord, heal them. So that nothing is lost. In Jesus' name.
